Which wood is right for your room?
All three are solid hardwood, 1.75" thick, with the same hidden bracket and free shipping. The difference is how they look and the feel they give a room.
White Oak
The all-rounder. Warm, stable and the easiest wood to match to floors or trim.

- Modern, farmhouse and Scandinavian rooms, and anyone planning to stain

Black Walnut
The statement piece. Rich and dark, with grain that changes from board to board.

Maple
The bright one. Light, clean and tough, for rooms you want to feel open.

SHELV floating shelves are built by hand in our family-owned shop in London, Ontario, from three solid hardwoods: white oak, black walnut and maple. Every shelf is cut from solid boards and milled to a full 1.75" thick. No veneer, no MDF, no hollow core.
Built heavy-duty
Inside each shelf is a HOVR bracket, about 13x stronger than a standard rod bracket. Mounted into studs, our shelves hold an average of 300 lbs with no sag and no tilt, year after year. Most people have them up in about 10 minutes.
Made to order, in your size
Choose a depth of 6", 8" or 10" and a length from 12" to 72", or send us your measurements for a custom size. Finishes include clear, natural white (white oak only) and raw for staining yourself.
Free shipping and colour samples
Every order ships free anywhere in Canada and the U.S. Shelves are made to order and ready to ship in 2 to 5 weeks. Not sure which wood is right for your room? Order wood colour samples first. They're $13 each or 3 for $30.
